Huzzah!


After years of appeals and protests to the Lantau Tomorrow Vision, the voice of reason is being heard. The proposed sea reclamation project off Hong Kong's Lantau island that would displace thousands of residents who've lived in the neighborhood for generations, causing unforeseen damages to the environment with its construction, and disturbing one of the few remaining natural habitats for the region's endangered pink dolphins.

Taking the irreversible environmental risks shown in countless reports along with public comments into the final decision, thankfully, HK Development Minister, Bernadette Linn, has set developer interests aside and delayed the start date of the project. So let's keep working together to make sure good news like this keeps coming until coastal development and other human disturbances becomes archaic relics of our ecocidal past (WARNING: disturbingly violent images of Black Sea dolphins massacred at the cost of war shown in that final link).
